Medical Oncologist Now Available at
Taylor Regional
Hospital

Dr. Zewdu Lissanu, a board certified medical oncologist, has
joined the active medical staff at
Taylor
Regional
Hospital.
Dr. Lissanu is available Monday thru Friday at the
Cancer
Center at Taylor Regional
Hospital.
“This is a wonderful addition to our already outstanding
cancer center,” says Jane Wheatley, CEO.
“Dr. Lissanu is a very caring physician who focuses on the
needs of the patient as his primary concern.
The addition of Dr. Lissanu as a full time medical oncologist
at TRH enables us to better meet the needs of our patients.”
Dr. Lissanu received his medical degree from
Addis Ababa
University in Ethiopia and has completed a residency program at
Woodhull Medical & Mental
Health Center in
Brooklyn,
New York.
He has also completed a fellowship in Hematology & Oncology
at Georgetown
University
Hospital
in Washington, DC.
However, Dr. Lissanu is no stranger to Kentucky as he operated a private practice in
Hematology & Oncology in Somerset from 2001-2006.
